Get a Jump Start on Living Well

You are not alone.

If you have just been diagnosed, you may be feeling a lot of different emotions...fear, confusion, sadness or even anger. Some people feel relief that they finally know what is causing all their symptoms. Parkinson's is not the end of the road, it is the beginning of a new way of life. It takes time to adjust to your new normal and that amount of time is different for everyone. Some want to tell everyone, some want to keep it to themselves for a while. Some delve into educating themselves, and some are too fearful to do anything. When you are ready, we are here to help. There are many programs available for you and your family members but if you just want to talk to someone else going through the same thing, we can make that happen too. We hope that eventually,  you will attend our Jump Start program which is designed specifically for those new to the diagnosis or new to the Parkinson's community.

Our Jumpstart Program

A special event for those newly diagnosed with Parkinson's

  • Learn the basics of Parkinson's.
  • Discover how a healthy lifestyle can help manage symptoms.
  • Explore local programs and meet the program leaders.

Jump Start is a program in Orange County designed for people recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s and their loved ones. It’s ideal for those within the first five years after diagnosis.

A new Parkinson’s diagnosis can bring many emotions—fear, confusion, sadness, or even relief. Everyone responds differently, and there is no right way to adjust.

Parkinson’s is not the end of the road—it’s the start of a new chapter. Take your time, move at your own pace, and know support is here when you need it.

When you’re ready, we can connect you to programs, resources, or someone who has been through a similar experience.
