Support Groups

We are fortunate to have many support groups in Orange County. Everyone’s journey is unique and you may want to attend a support group right away. Others may want to wait a bit before joining. Whenever you are ready, know there are groups available for you and your loved ones. Each group is different, so if one isn't the right fit for you, we encourage you to try another until you find the right fit.

Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease

Getting a Parkinson’s diagnosis is tough, getting that news while you’re still working, raising kids, or juggling a busy life can feel overwhelming. Young Onset Parkinson’s (YOPD) comes with its own set of questions: When do I tell my boss? How do I talk to my kids? Should I keep working? What even comes next?

Our YOPD Connection group is here for all of that. We meet once a month in person in Irvine, and our conversations and guest speakers focus on real-life topics that matter to people navigating Parkinson’s in the middle of their careers, family life, and everything

in between—whether you’re in your 30s, 40s, 50s, or beyond.

Fitness & Wellness

Studies are showing that exercise is beneficial for people with Parkinson's. Not only can it make you feel better physically, but it can help boost your mood, give you energy and build your confidence. With that said, you need to be safe and choose an exercise program that best fits your abilities. It also needs to be enjoyable so choose a program that you like. If you enjoy it, you are more likely to continue going back. It is always best to check with your doctor before beginning any exercise program.
